Family Forestland Ownership and Taxes

Landowners with income from timber sales receive significant tax benefits if they operate as a business. Learn what you should do to show that you are operating as a business. You will learn about a simple record keeping method that can document a business interest and create a personalized history of your woodland. You will also learn about Minnesota's new property tax program and the Sustainable Forestry Incentive program.
